Fans flock to Camberwell Junction to celebrate icon Kylie Minogue

Crowds gathered at Camberwell Sunday Market on October 23 to celebrate iconic singer Kylie Minogue at the inaugural Kylie Appreciation Day.

The Princess of Pop was celebrated through a series of acts including lip-sync performances, crowd entertainment, a Kylie look-alike fashion parade, and Kylie trivia.

Drag queens Della Katessen, Gabriella Labucci and Brenda Bressed hosted most of the entertainment, and there was a special performance from Melbourne’s most famous Kylie impersonator, Millie Minogue.

Fans of the pop icon were enthusiastic participants on the day, with many dressing up in their favourite Kylie outfits.

With Kylie’s recent return to Australia, the event celebrated the homecoming of a Camberwell cultural icon and also aligned with the 25-year anniversary of her album Impossible Princess.
