Camberwell On Canvas – Art On Show
Camberwell On Canvas is an annual community art show.
We invite local artists of all skill levels, styles, and mediums to participate in the show, and allow them to showcase and sell their work with no commission fees, if they wish.
The art is displayed in the windows of the beautiful heritage buildings found up on Burke Hill, the northern end of Burke Rd in the Camberwell Junction shopping precinct. This creates an art trail that is available to view 24 hours a day.
Established in 2010, Camberwell on Canvas is popular with artists and many of them come back year after year.
The public is invited to vote for their favourite artist and they and the artist can win a prize. There is also the art trail competition with hidden clues to be found in the artworks.
Many people say they love the show’s eclectic flavour and the chance to discover the unique businesses found up on Burke Hill, including antique stores, bakeries, beauty services and restaurants.
Check the What’s On page for details about this year’s event or take a look at art from previous shows below, including two years where it was held online in a virtual Burke Hill.
