Looking for staff? The ‘Launch into Work’ program may help
July 6, 2021
Many businesses have complained about the lack of trained, willing workers available since our borders have closed, not to mention the cost of employing staff. The Victorian Government has on offer a number of financial incentives that make it easier to find and train staff. View full list of programs here.
One program that has been particularly attractive for the hospitality industry is the Launch into Work program. It allows you to identify the skills and personality fit you are looking for in an employee and a local government agency will vet the best candidates.
You work with the agency to co-design the training in the area that would work best for you and help prepare new job seekers for the hospitality trade with the aim to hire them full-time.
There are wage subsidies of up to $10,000 and with high levels of quality candidates, you could end up with excellent workers for your business.
To find out more about this program or many others that may better suit your industry, and how you can get help to hire staff to support your business see the information flyer here.
