Find everything you need for Australia Day in Camberwell

There are few things better than celebrating our national day and with Australia Day just around the corner (Thursday, January 26), it’s time to start thinking about how you will celebrate.

However you choose to mark the occasion, Camberwell has you covered with many of our traders remaining open on the day itself.

Planning a barbeque? The Well Shopping Centre is a good place to start. Head over to Rainbow Meats & The Chicken Well to pick up some gourmet snags and barbecue delights. As there are few things better than sausage in bread, Brumby’s Bakery will entice with some freshly made loaves and rolls.

Next stop is the Camberwell Fresh Food Market, which, with its huge range of fresh fruit and veggies, has you covered for sides, salads, and grilled veg. The market is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, but will be closed on Australia Day, so be sure to plan ahead so you can stock up on all your fresh food requirements for your festivities.

If you’re after some Australian memorabilia to celebrate the day, newsagents, supermarkets and variety stores in Camberwell will be selling Australian flags, bunting, balloons and other gear.

The major supermarkets and many of the stores in Camberwell will also be open on Australia Day for all your celebratory needs.
