Meet the author: Chris Hammer

Chris Hammer presents his new book Silver.

As a journalist of more than thirty years, Chris has divided his career between covering Australian federal politics and international affairs.

He has been a roving correspondent for SBS current affairs program Dateline and reported from more than thirty countries. He has been chief political correspondent for The Bulletin and political journalist for The Age.

His first book The River was the recipient of the ACT Book of the Year and was shortlisted for Walkley Book of the Year and the Manning Clark House National Cultural Award. His second book Scrublands was shortlisted for the Best Debut Fiction at the Indie Book Awards.

Books are available for sale at the event and the author will sign copies after the talk.
