Borrow books, magazines, DVDs and CDs

It’s a library’s core offering, and Camberwell Library has taken borrowing to a new level.

You can browse and borrow a selection of much-loved books, including the classics as well as new releases, but you also get access to the latest magazines and a wide selection of DVDs and CDs.

Additionally, you can stream or download a variety of online resources including movies, music, online learning, newspapers and magazines, journals and articles, family history and children’s content.

Use computers and access the Internet

Camberwell Library has a bank of computers, all with Internet access and Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, for members to use. Wi-Fi is free for all library members across all devices, including computers.

Hire meeting rooms and study spaces

If you’re looking for a location to hold your next meeting or presentation, Camberwell Library has two meeting rooms available, both at competitive prices.

The larger room features 10 desks and 50 chairs, and the smaller meeting room has four tables and 14 chairs. Each room has its own whiteboard, digital television/monitor and a tea station.

Need a quiet place to study in Camberwell Junction? Camberwell Library has individual study rooms that can be booked for up to three hours.

Access photocopying and printing services

You can photocopy material or print out pages and webpages for as little as 20 cents per page, and higher rates apply for larger sized paper or colour printing.

Keep in mind, though, that Camberwell Library is cash-free, but payment can be made via credit card, EFTPOS or cheque.

Join children’s story times and activities

Sing Baby Sing sessions and children’s story times form cherished memories for parents and children and create a pathway to a lifetime love of books and reading – but there’s so much more for kids at Camberwell Library.

During school holidays, Camberwell Library runs a jam-packed program of activities designed to foster creativity and imagination, and develop early literacy and language skills. They’re also a fun and free way to keep youngsters entertained!
