The 2015 Kooyong Giving Tree Appeal
Article posted: November 26, 2015
The 2015 Kooyong Giving Tree appeal is on again, with this year’s proceeds going to Servants Community Housing in Hawthorn and Kew.
Servants does a wonderful job in our local community supporting 89 homeless people who often suffer from circumstances beyond their control and have fallen on hard times.
Since the Kooyong Giving Tree was launched in 2012, they have raised in excess of $10,000 and provided a generous and varied range of in-kind donations.
They have provided Servants with gifts such as clothing, non-perishable food and vouchers, as well as cash donations to support Servants residents throughout the holiday period.
The Kooyong Giving Tree is a great way to help out Servants residents and spread hope and joy during the holiday season to those less fortunate.
Once again, The Kooyong Giving Tree is calling on the generosity of local residents, community organisations and businesses to support this worthwhile initiative by donating cheques, gift vouchers and non-perishable food items including Christmas puddings and cakes, as well as essentials such as new men’s clothing, blankets and bedding, and toiletries.
If you wish to provide a tax-deductible cash donation, please note that only cheques made out to Kooyong Giving Tree – Servants Community Housing are able to be accepted. These can be mailed to the Office of Josh Frydenberg MP, 695 Burke Road, Camberwell 3124.
In-kind donations can be dropped off in Josh Frydenberg’s electorate office until 5pm Friday 18th December 2015.
All of the donated items will be presented to Servants before Christmas Day.
If you have any questions about the 2015 Kooyong Giving Tree please do not hesitate to contact Josh Frydenberg’s office on (03) 9882 3677.
