Article posted: March 3, 2017
EVENT ENDED: This article is for a past event.
Quentin Bryce has enjoyed a rich and distinguished career as an academic, lawyer, community and human rights advocate, senior public officer, university college principal and vice-regal representative in Queensland.
In her role as Australia’s first female Governor-General Quentin wrote more than fifty letters each week, and received even more from every corner of the country.
Dear Quentin is a rich collection of letters from that six-year term; to prime ministers Rudd and Gillard, VC Mark Donaldson, pals Anne Summers and Wendy McCarthy, Indigenous elders, war vets, Girl Guides, grandchildren as well as the proud owner of a calf called Quentin.
Her letters are generous, witty and heartfelt and this event is your chance to meet this dynamic and inspiring woman.
Meet Quentin Bryce over a lovely two-course dinner in the heart of Camberwell.
