Restrictions for traders from 11.59pm on May 27, 2021

A 7-day lockdown has been announced and will be effective from 11.59pm pm Thursday, May 27, and is expected to continue until 11.59pm on Thursday, June 3.
There are new restrictions which will affect retailers:
- Essential retail may remain open, with a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm
- Essential retail includes: Supermarkets, food stores, petrol stations, banks, bottle shops and pharmacies
- Other retail stores must close, and can only trade online or via click-and-collect
- Restaurants and cafes: open for takeaway only.
- Non-essential retail will be closed, but may operate for contactless click-and-collect and home deliveries only.
Masks are mandatory in all circumstances except within your home, unless an exemption applies.
