A big ‘thank you’ to all who attended Camberwell’s Dine In Dine Out event in August. It was our biggest food fiesta yet, with Camberwell traders putting on a busy day of food tastings, demonstrations, free kids’ activities and live entertainment. Hundreds of people flocked to the Camberwell shopping precinct to experience the colour and flavours of this memorable event.

School holiday fun at The Well
Get the kids along to The Well shopping centre for some school holiday fun. There are free activities planned to keep the little ones amused.
Week 1: September 19 – 23
Take part in The Well’s colouring-in competition for a chance to win some cool prizes. The colouring station will be open daily from 11am until 2pm in the mall, near Dymocks.
Week 2: September 26 – 30
Children can join this workshop to decorate their own pencil case to take home. Sessions will run daily between 11am and 2pm and will be located near Dymocks.

Meet the author: Graeme Simsion
If you are one of the thousands of readers who fell in love with The Rosie Project, you will not want to miss this exciting opportunity to meet Australian author Graeme Simsion.
At this dinner event hosted by Dymocks Camberwell, Simsion will present his new book The Best of Adam Sharp and advance copies will be available for sale on the night.
The event will run on Thursday, September 15, ‘Upstairs’ at Georges Restaurant, 819 Burke Rd, Camberwell.
Other author events in Camberwell include the chance to meet Alan Brough, of Spicks and Specks fame, and now author of the children’s book Charlie and the War against the Grannies. Brough will do a free book reading at 10.30am on Saturday, September 3 at Dymocks Camberwell.
International bestselling author Jodi Picoult will visit Camberwell for a dinner event on Thursday, November 16. She will present her new novel Small Great Things and be available for book signings. Be quick, tickets are selling fast.

Winter is here which means it’s almost time for our annual food event, Dine In Dine Out. The Camberwell traders are putting on the food fiesta as a way to showcase the best cuisine on offer in our shopping precinct.
The event will run on Saturday, August 6 across the Camberwell shopping precinct. There will be a pop-up park, activities in Evans Place, children’s activities, entertainment, food tastings and an evening of jazz music.
Don’t miss your chance to meet international chef Gabriel Gaté at Dymocks Camberwell from 11am on August 6. He will celebrate the launch of his new book, Délicieux, which includes seasonal dishes with the warmth of rural French cooking. Dymocks Camberwell is also offering shoppers 20% off all full-priced books on August 6.

Harry Potter book launch – July 31
Join Dymocks Camberwell from 9am – 12pm on July 31 for a Harry Potter celebration and the release of Book 8: The Cursed Child Parts I & II.
The event will celebrate all the things readers love about Harry Potter – there will be Harry Potter themed food including fudge, chocolate frogs, flavoured Jelly Beans. There will also be fun activities, prizes, trivia games, balloons and more.
You can pre-order your book and collect it from Dymocks on the day. There will also be additional copies available for sale at the store.

Camberwell Sunday Market celebrates 40 years
On August 28, Camberwell Sunday Market will celebrate its 40th birthday. It is one of Australia’s most popular and iconic second-hand, antique, handmade and vintage markets. Rotary volunteers run the market and have raised more than $15 million for charities and Rotary projects.
