Where to find Halloween goodies in Camberwell

EVENT ENDED: This article is for a past event.

It’s that time of year again – time for costumes, movie marathons, bobbing for apples, frightening your friends and eating all the lollies. It’s time for Halloween.

This year, Halloween will officially be observed on Tuesday, October 31.

Whether you’re hosting a spooky-themed party at home this weekend or you’re planning to door knock in your neighbourhood on the official date, be sure to stock up on all your Halloween goodies in Camberwell.

The shopping precinct has all you need for your tricks, your treats and everything in between.

Here is where you can get your goodies:

Get creative

Are you keen to get crafty and make some of your own decorations or costume accessories this Halloween? Head to Riot Art and Craft – they’ve got everything from cardboard to glitter, to face paint and felt.

If you’re looking to decorate your home or garden, Target has some great bits n bobs including Halloween-themed candy bowls, imitation skulls and bones, candle holders, spider webs and more.

Dress up

Whether you want to dress up as a witch or a wolf, a skeleton or a super hero, you’ll be sure to find a suitable costume in Camberwell.

Nab a bargain at one of the precinct’s variety stores (try The Gift Bargain Store or Beyond’s Homewares) or pop into an op shop (visit Australian Red Cross or the Salvo’s) and get creative with putting your own outfit together.

Jasmine Kids Outfitters and Kite Catcher sell gorgeous costumes for children, including popular princess characters, that can be used for Halloween and future dress up parties.

Dymocks Camberwell also sells costumes and has loads of Halloween-themed books for all ages to make story time extra spooky.

Make tricky treats at home

Planning to stay in and do some baking? Then be sure to stock up on those much-needed ingredients in Camberwell.

For flour, sugar, eggs and icing, head to one of our major supermarkets Aldi, Coles or Woolworths.

Only need a small batch of ingredients especially for your Halloween baking? The Source Bulk Foods is the perfect store for getting the exact amount you need.

If you need some baking inspiration, The Well has shared some fantastic recipes for Halloween treats. Choose from the Sneaky Creepy Cake, the iced Halloween Boo!-scuits or the Ghoulish Graveyard Cupcakes.

Sweet treats

No Halloween is complete without lollies and sweets.

Stock up on traditional candy at one of Camberwell’s supermarkets or head to the Camberwell Fresh Food Market and pick a selection of lollies from Sweeties Fruit and Nuts. For chocolate lovers, head to Chocolate Box.
