These are the colours to wear for spring 2019

Spring is everyone’s favourite season of fashion.
It’s the time of year where we get to throw off the dull greys and blacks and embrace the dazzling primary colours we’ve come to associate with spring.
This season’s colours offer something slightly different; something slightly more pared back.
The spring colour palette draws inspiration from jewelled tones, soft pastel hues and rich, mellow tones.
Here are the three hottest colours for spring – and they are all in stores now right across Camberwell shopping precinct.
This spring, one gem has pride of place in the jewellery box of fashion: emerald or forest green.
It’s bright but not garish; striking but not trashy – and it’s undeniably special. Big claim, yes, but when those Munchkins set out to create the most brilliant, impressive city they could, what colour did they choose?
Camberwell’s Cue store is showing a gorgeous georgette blouse that will add a splash of life to a corporate look, while Sportsgirl has its casual weekend cousin, the peasant shirt, and Blue Illusion has a stunning emerald green knit that will brighten up even the coolest spring days.
The added bonus? Unlike some shades of green, the earthy tone of forest green means it suits practically every skin tone.
This season’s shade of pink is like millennial pink – which we’ve all been having a love affair with – but after spending a weekend with Katy Perry in Miami.
We’re talking candy shades of pink, in skirts, jackets, tops, and pants – and as many of these you can wear together, the better.
Country Road has casual and structured t-shirts and jackets, as well as a pleated skirt in a shade of pink so pretty you’ll be rushing to the store as soon as you see it.
Camberwell shopping precinct also has options for those who prefer something a little more subtle: champagne and nude pink.
Witchery is showing a stunning silk blazer in pale rose; Trenery’s soft pink French linen blouse is a showstopper; and Feathers’ layered mogul knit in blush pink is as sweet as it is gorgeous to the touch.
Nothing will put a spring in your step, and a smile on the faces of all you meet, like this season’s favourite colour: yellow.
Decjuba’s eye-popping Marilyn midi skirt is as at home with a t-shirt and runners as it is with heels and blazers, and will take you from the office to an evening event; from the races to a backyard barbecue.
Head to Silvermaple Boutique to get your hands on their luxurious silk front panel top in a bright shade of citrus yellow.
As expected, Camberwell shopping precinct has you covered this spring, whatever the occasion.
