Dymocks: Meet the author

Running for more than 15 years, Dymocks literary events have brought best-selling authors, politicians and celebrities to Camberwell.

Some of the authors that have featured at the events include Jodi Picoult, Marian Keyes and Matthew Reilly, politicians John Howard and Peter Costello, and TV personalities Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Ray Martin.

Guests can enjoy a sit-down dinner and drinks, followed by a talk by the author and book signings. It’s a lovely night out and a great way to meet your favourite authors.

Meet author A.J. Finn in Camberwell

Monday, September 3 – from 6.30pm

A. J. Finn’s debut novel, The Woman in the Window, has been a runaway success – it has gone on to sell in 38 countries and has been optioned for a film. Finn has written for numerous publications including the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, and the Times Literary Supplement (UK). A native of New York, Finn lived in England for ten years before returning to New York City.

Meet Liane Moriarty, the Australian author of seven internationally bestselling novels, including the number 1 NYT bestsellers The Husband’s Secret, Big Little Lies and Truly Madly GuiltyBig Little Lies was turned into a series starring Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon and a second series has been announced that will be based off a new script written by Liane Moriarty.

At this event, Liane will present her new book Nine Perfect Strangers which explores whether ten days at a health resort could really change a person forever. Nine perfect strangers are about to find out.

Author Minette Walters has been dubbed the ‘Queen of British crime fiction’ for her captivating psychological novels that explore the dark heart beating below a calm surface. Since 1992, her books have received many awards across many countries and five of her novels have been adapted for television.

This year she presents her latest novel The Turn of Midnight, the sequel to The Lost Hours.

Matthew Reilly

Thursday, November 29 – from 6.30pm
